USCIS has made changes to their photo policies. Usually they accepted photos within their system that were taken within 10 years. Now they have changed those policies to pictures that need to be done within three years. So if you are pending an application and you have been pending for more than three years, chances are you will be receiving an appointment to go have your biometrics retaken.
