TPS or Parole, Critical Updates!
So there is a big distinction between Temporary Protective Status, or TPS, versus a parole that certain countries are eligible for. While Haitians and Venezuelans both are eligible for TPS and the parole, each has distinct eligibility requirements. For TPS, you have to be in the United States. For the parole program, especially for Haitians, Venezuelans, Cubans, and Nicaraguans, you have to be outside of the United States.
Other countries can be eligible for temporary protected status. For more details, please consult with an immigration attorney who will give you all the eligibility requirements.
